Kurdistan parliament driver killed in Erbil: police

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - A driver for the Kurdistan Region’s parliament has been found dead in Erbil, according to a statement released by local police, adding that they are investigating the incident. 

Police said in the statement that Dildar Hamadamin Mustafa, 50, was found dead near a mosque in Erbil’s Araban neighborhood on Thursday, and that he was a driver for the Kurdistan parliament.

“Police teams are investigating to find more information about the incident and arrest the perpetrators,” noted the police. 

The Kurdistan parliament has not commented on the death of the man. 

A number of killing incidents have been reported in the Kurdistan Region in recent days. A woman was shot dead in Koya city, Erbil province on Wednesday as soon as she stepped out of a taxi.
