Registration for Rudaw, UN women training program opens for Basra, Maysan

Rudaw Media Network, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is launching its fifth media training cohort specifically tailored for women from both Basra and Maysan provinces. This initiative is part of a broader effort covering all cities within the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

Over a span of 12 months, Rudaw Media Network and UNFPA will train over 300 women across Iraq. The program began with a focus on Erbil's residents in the first month, followed by those from Baghdad then followed by Nineveh and Sulaimani. Later it was for Kirkuk, Anbar, Salahaddin, and Duhok.

This training aims to bolster Rudaw Media Network's commitment to advancing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, established as a key global objective since 2015.

Registration for is open from July 28, 2024, to Aug 18, 2024.

Interested participants who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply by sending their CVs to the email address provided below.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Applicants should be in their final year of university studies or recent graduates.
  
- Proficiency in Arabic and one other language is required.
  
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in media.
  
- Competence in communication and writing skills.
  
- A strong desire to enhance the role and impact of women in the media sector.
  
- This training program is exclusively available to female applicants.
