ERBIL, Kurdistan Region--Kirkuk security forces (Asayesh) announced in a statement released on Wednesday that its forces foiled an ISIS plot and arrested 9 people with links to the self-proclaimed Islamic State. Kirkuk security forces said they arrested and questioned 9 people on the first day of Eid, who were found to be members of ISIS and had plans to carry out suicide attacks inside the city of Kirkuk during the holiday. An explosive belt, 3 mines, several grenades, and some explosive C4 materials were seized during the arrest.
