It is not for the international community to dictate to Iraq its future, said Ján Kubiş, head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), in an interview with Rudaw.
The United Nations brings ideas and proposals and facilitates negotiations between Erbil and Baghdad, but ultimately, the responsibility for Iraq’s future lies with the country’s political forces and leaders in dialogue with the people of Iraq, he said.
