VIENNA — Diplomats say that the next round of nuclear talks between Iran and six world powers will take place next week in Vienna.
The two diplomats say the talks will be held among political directors, the highest level below a meeting of foreign ministers. They say the round is tentatively scheduled to start next Tuesday and end Friday.
The US and five other nations are aiming for a deal by June 30 that puts long-term curbs on Iranian programs that could be used to make nuclear arms. Iran denies any interest in such weapons but is negotiating in hopes of sanctions relief.
The diplomats, who are familiar with the talks, demanded anonymity Tuesday because they aren't authorized to discuss them. The nuclear negotiators are currently meeting in New York
