ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – The Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), the umbrella for the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) organizations, accused the Turkish Justice and Development Party (AKP) of instigating last weekend's clashes between pro-PKK supporters and the Hur Dava Party (Huda-Par) in Sirnak.

"If there is a provocation in question, it has been planned and practiced by the very self AKP government. Huda-Par is just a front organization used for this purpose," the KCK said in a statement about the clashes in Cizre.

“Nothing can be as dangerous and dirty as the AKP state perpetuating its animosity against the Kurds through Huda-Par," it added.

Fighting between members of the Patriotic Revolutionist Youth Movement (YD-H), linked with the PKK, and Huda par took the lives of three people, including a minor on Saturday.

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Sunday that outside provocateurs have been arrested in connection with the incident and are uncomfortable with the peace and stability in Turkey.

“We also noticed that this structure is a part of an effort to bring unrest to the nation by exaggerating the events,” said Davutoglu, who indirectly accused the Hizment movement of causing the tension in the area.

PKK and Huda Par, which is an extension of the Hezbollah, have a bloody history: Previous Turkish governments used Hezbollah as a tool to fight PKK in 1990s.

The KCK statement said that Huda Par would not have a place in Kurdish society and urged the AKP to stop causing problems and supporting the Islamic State (ISIS).

"The AKP state must know that Huda-Par cannot make its presence felt without the support of the AKP, which we urge to stop using and supporting ISIS against Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan) and Huda-Par against the freedom movement in North Kurdistan (Turkey’s Kurdish areas)," the statement read.

Street protests in October in the Kurdish areas of Turkey against the AKP’s silence over ISIS attacks in Kurdish town of Kobane again brought the PKK and Huda par into direct confrontation, taking the lives of at least 40 people.
