A suicide bomb attack on Istanbul’s Istiklal Street on Saturday has killed four people and wounded 20 others, said city officials. The wounded were transported to a hospital in the city’s European side as security forces evacuated the area and closed nearby streets to all traffic. Today’s blast comes just days after a deadly bombing in the Turkish capital Ankara killed 37 and injured many more. Western governments have since raised the security alert for their nationals traveling to Turkey while Germany closed its embassies and consulates in Turkey’s two largest cities last week.
