Aleppo: A peaceful Christmas inside a bombed church
In Aleppo, home to one of the largest Christian communities in the Middle East, Christmas Day was celebrated inside a church half destroyed by war.
Members of the community gathered under the standing half of the roof to mark the day four years after a devastating war came to their city.
Aleppo was declared fully under control of the government in Damascus last week, after a deal saw the evacuation of thousands of civilians and rebel fighters from the eastern parts of the city.
