In Hergla, Raqqa, one family is painstakingly rebuilding the city’s heritage. They are the only producers of historically-accurate bricks in Syria, churning the clay by foot and baking the bricks in a kiln. 

ISIS famously destroyed many historical sites and artifacts across territory they once controlled in Syria and Iraq.
