ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Two members of the Manbij security forces were killed by a roadside bomb on Saturday.
A vehicle of the Manbij security forces hit an explosive device on the Aleppo road, killing two of the fighters and injuring a third, the Manbij Military Council stated.
Manbij has been under the control of local administration and security councils since it was liberated from ISIS in August 2016.
The local forces are backed by the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the international coalition against ISIS.
