ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Iraq is following Kurdistan Region’s lead and is shutting down internet services during exams.
Iraq's Ministry of Communication announced on Thursday that it will shut down internet services across the country from 7 to 9am on days when exams are held between May 27 and June 16 and between June 21 and July 12.
The move was made at the request of the Ministry of Education.
The KRG has already adopted the same measure, shutting down mobile internet services from 7 to 10 am on exam days to deter cheating.
