ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - US Vice President Joe Biden arrived in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Thursday on an unannounced visit where he met with Iraq's Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi
After meeting with Abadi Biden told the press that they discussed "plans in store for Mosul and coordination going on with all of our friends here."
Biden said he was very "optimistic" about these plans adding that he is also confident that the Iraqi leaders are "working very, very hard" to assemble a new government cabinet as part of Abadi's long promised reforms.
Rudaw has also learned that Biden will also be traveling to the Kurdistan Region's capital, Erbil, on Friday.
