ERBIL, Kurdistan Region--Clashes erupt as protesters tried to enter Baghdad’s Green Zone and were blocked by security forces.
According to Rudaw’s correspondent, security forces are trying to disperse the protesters using tear gas.
Two protesters have been reported wounded so far.
Rudaw’s Bahman Hassan added that Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has ordered Iraqi forces to return to Baghdad from an area near Fallujah.
The security force that is currently inside the Green Zone is well-armed and equipped with heavy weapons.
