One hundred men from Iraqi Special Operations Forces arrived in Mosul’s Samah neighborhood for battle against ISIS and to free up other troops who have been fighting ISIS for three weeks.
These soldiers are called the Basra Battalion. Their task is to lead the fight in Zuhur and Tahrir districts in eastern Mosul.
Those leaving hand over their vehicles to those who have just arrived.
Hussein Yousef, member of Iraqi Special Operation Forces: "We protected the civilians. We can kill Daesh (Islamic State group) members while at the same time protecting civilians. We don't want civilians to be in danger."
