There are an estimated 600 mosques in the war-ravaged city of Fallujah, a large number of which have been destroyed by war or partially damaged.
In their fight against Iraqi troops who attacked the city to retake it from ISIS in mid-2016 militants used mosques and minarets as sniper hideouts.
Now the Iraqi government has started renovating some of the damaged mosques.
Residents and tribal leaders in Anbar say that 80 percent of Fallujah and Ramadi were razed to the ground during the war with ISIS.
They hope public services come back to help those who fled the province return home.
Fallujah is known in Iraq as the city of mosques.
