ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Kurdish forces bombarded several ISIS weapons depots and military bases Thursday on the Nawaran front in northern Mosul province, a Peshmerga spokesman said.

“Peshmerga forces conducted four attacks on ISIS, destroying weapons depots and military bases in the Khorsabad village on the Nawaran front, at 5:20am Thursday, causing material damage and heavy casualties among ISIS radicals,” said Brigadier Dilshad Mawlood, media officer of the Peshmerga Zeravani force.

“The US-led coalition along with the Peshmerga have continuously targeted ISIS maneuvers in Nawaran,” Mawlood added.

The brigadier said an ISIS base in Bazgirkan village near the Khazir front southeast of Mosul was also targeted by coalition airstrikes.

The Nawaran front is located on the Nineveh plain, some 10km northeast of Mosul city.
