MOSUL, Iraq – Iraqi forces progressed on multiple fronts in Mosul on Sunday.
Iraqi Counter-Terror forces have retaken the Nablus district of western Mosul, according to the commander of the ‘We are Coming Nineveh’ operation, Abdul Amer Rashid Yarallah.
The Iraqi 9th armored division made gains the Milawasa region in west Mosul, Yarallah confirmed.
Earlier in the day, Iraqi forces liberated the village of Alhuydra, north of Badush, the war media cell announced on Sunday afternoon.

Rudaw video from west Mosul shows a high level of destruction in the city.
The UN’s humanitarian coordinator for Iraq, Lise Grande, told reporters last week that reports they are receiving from civilians indicate that there is “much more destruction” in west Mosul compared to the military offensive in east Mosul.
