ISIS militants are fleeing Mosul through the Hamrin mountain range.

There is a 7 kilometer vacuum where Iraq forces are not present.

This allows ISIS militants to escape to Haweja and Tuz Khurmatu.

Since 2003, the Iraqi government hasn’t been able to completely control it.
