Iraqi warplanes kill 150 ISIS fighters in Anbar

ERBIL, Kurdistan region – At least 150 militants have reportedly been killed in a series of airstrikes on ISIS positions in an area known as Garma, west of Al-Karma town, in Anbar province, the Iraqi ministry of defense announced in a statement on Saturday.
 
The operation, which has been underway for the past 24 hours, has also destroyed at least 25 ISIS armored vehicles, the statement added.
 
According to officials in Anbar province, more that 80 percent of the province is still under the hand of ISIS fighters.
