ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Iraqi planes have dropped leaflets over ISIS-controlled areas, warning local people to assist the troops now set to enter areas of Salahadin province.

“More than 20,000 troops are taking part in the operations to liberate Salahadin from ISIS,” a source from the Salahadin operation told Rudaw.

The incoming army dropped the leaflets over areas of Tikrit, Beji, Talul Baj and Shargat in Salahadin province, according to the source.

Fighters from the Shiite militia known as the People’s Mobilization Forces are assisting the Iraqi army in liberating the ISIS-held areas.
