ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – At least five people were killed and 17 wounded in separate explosions in Baghdad on Sunday, security sources said.
In an explosion in the capital’s Basmaya industrial area southeast of Baghdad, two people were killed and seven wounded.
In Baghdad’s Furat neighborhood, one person was killed and six wounded.
Another explosion at a popular market in the Rashidiya area north of Baghdad killed two and wounded four.
The cause of the explosions was not immediately known and there were no claims of responsibility.
The Iraqi capital has been experiencing frequent terrorist attacks that mainly target crowded and public areas.
