ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – More than 780 ISIS militants and 135 civilians were killed in Mosul province since last month, a Kurdish official  told Rudaw on Saturday.

“According to statistics from Mosul, 784 Daesh [ISIS] militants have been killed by the Peshmerga airstrikes and internal tensions and conflict among the organization since the beginning of July in the Nineveh [Mosul] province,” said Saeed Mamuzini, media officer of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Mosul.

“Among the killed militants, eight were from Germany, three from France and 12 had the rank of emir [leader] and two mass graves were uncovered, containing many foreign militants of the Islamic State,” Mamuzini added.

Due to lack of medical necessities, 135 civilians from Mosul and its outskirts have died, Mamuzini said, adding that ISIS has evicted 415 Kurdish families and installed Arab families inside homes in Mosul.
