ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — An ultra-light aircraft crashed at Imam Khomeini airport in Tehran on Tuesday night, killing one and injuring two, according to initial reports.
Initial reports indicate six people were aboard an ultra-light airplane before it crashed at Imam Khomeini airport around 7:15 p.m. (local time), according to Iran's ISNA news agency.
Miztaba Khalidi, a spokeswoman for the country's emergency agency, told ISNA two people died and one was injured.
The Iranian Army's Red Crescent Rescue Organization was dispatched to the crash scene.
