MARIWAN, IRAN - Belo Village in the Iranian Kurdistan city of Mariwan has been hosting storks for more than 20 years.
"These storks have been here for 20 to 25 years," one of the residents told Rudaw. "They usually give birth and bring their babies to this land."
The storks feed in Zrewar Lake, near the village. Locals consider them as the residents of the village.
"Residents of the village are so good with them," a resident of Belo village told Rudaw. "No one bothers them, that is why they have come here."
