ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – The leader of the Islamic State (ISIS) group on Saturday mocked Israel and the West for not daring to fight his forces directly, and claimed that Russian air raids had been “ineffective.”

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi also accused the US of using the Kurds to fight its war.

In a 20-minute audio message that was the first of its kind from him in seven months, he said: “They (United States) were given a good lesson in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

He warned that the US will lose again.“In the end, Islam will lead the world until the doomsday comes," he declared.

"It is a dream that they can take out Islamic State through their airstrikes. At the end, it is they who are the losers, not the Islamic State,” he said.

In a warning to countries fighting ISIS, he warned: “Every day we are getting closer to you."

“The Israelis will soon see us in Palestine,” he vowed. “This is no longer a war of the crusaders against us. The entire world is fighting us right now."

Baghdadi also slammed Saudi Arabia's efforts to set up a coalition of Muslim nations to fight his group."If it was an Islamic coalition, it would have declared itself free from its Jewish and Crusader lords and made the killing of Jews and the liberation of Palestine its goal," his message said.

Baghdadi called on Saudi citizens – reportedly the second biggest contributors to ISIS ranks - to "rise up" against their government, as he dismissed the kingdom's newly formed Muslim coalition against his group.

The last such online public message said to be issued by Baghdadi was published in May. He has been reported injured or killed several times in fighting, apparently incorrectly.
