ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — US-led coalition aircraft conducted 22 airstrikes in Syria and Iraq Monday, targeting ISIS stronghold positions and military bases, according to a coalition statement.
Fighter jets and drones conducted four airstrikes in Syria targeting ISIS positions near Deir ez-Zor, the seventh largest city in Syria , Kobani and Mar’a, which is located in Aleppo province. The strikes destroyed an ISIS artillery piece and bulldozer.
Eighteen other airstrikes were carried out in Iraq at Fallujah, Haditha, Kisik, Mosul, Ramadi and Tuz, destroying six ISIS buildings and three vehicles in addition to ISIS personnel.
