This exclusive video footage was provided to Rudaw by the Peshmerga command in the Gwer-Makhmour area.
The tape was left behind by the Islamic State (ISIS) militants after their attack on the Peshmerga forces near Gwer last week was repelled.
The footage which has been filmed inside an ISIS vehicle shows a convoy of armored vehicles and battle-ready militants heading to the Peshmerga frontline.
Sirwan Barzani, the commander of the Gwer-Makhmour region explains the video, saying that the militants had deployed advanced weapons, artillery and camouflage techniques to avoid airstrikes.
The Gwer-Makhour region with its many Kurdish villages fell to ISIS in August, but the Peshmerga soon reclaimed the land in several counteroffensives that pushed them back towards Mosul.
