ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - US President Barack Obama probably cannot count how many autographs he has scribbled out for fans and supporters.

That is why on Thursday, many were surprised to see roles reversed when Obama asked for the autograph of Peshmerga Commander Sheikh Jaafar Mustafa.

American forces held a meeting in the Kurdistan region last night and invited the Kurdish commander and a group of female Peshmerga fighters.

Obama made a call to the forces, and when the president realized Jaafar was in attendance, he asked for a signed photo of the commander standing with the fighters, Jaafar said.

“Obama also thanked American forces and Peshmerga for their cooperation,” Jaafar said.

The Peshmerga commander noted that fulfilling the request was no trouble at all.

“It took just two minutes,” he said
