Shiite group bombs Peshmerga positions in Shingal

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – A group affiliated with the Shiite Hashd al-Shaabi has reportedly bombed Peshmerga positions in Shingal, a Kurdish official stated.
 
Halgurd Hikmat, media officer of the Peshmerga ministry, confirmed the news to Rudaw, stating, “We are awaiting an official response from the Hashd al-Shaabi regarding the incident.”
 
Hikmat explained that “it is not the first time such things are happening.”
 
He said the Peshmerga ministry will announce its response to the incident in a statement.

 

The Hashd al-Shaabi have not made any official statements on the reported incident.
