ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Various media reports speak about a joint US-Kurdish military operation to rescue hostages held by ISIS.
One American was killed during the operation, according to what US officials have told CNN.
“We are not aware of such an operation,” an official from Iraqi Kurdistan Region’s Ministry of Peshmarga told Rudaw.
The media reporting anonymous American officials give contradictory information on the location of the operation, and the number of released hostages.
The identity of the released hostages is not yet confirmed.
