President Barzani, Joe Biden and Iraqi parliament speaker to cross paths on Turkey visit

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Kurdish President Masoud Barzani, US Vice President Joe Biden and Iraq’s Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri are expected to be in Ankara this week, where they will meet with the country’s top officials.

 

According to information obtained by Rudaw, Barzani will be in Ankara on Tuesday, where he will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Binali Yildirim. Biden is arriving Wednesday and Jabouri will also be in Turkey at the same time.

 

Barzani’s last visit to Turkey was in December 2015 where he met his counterpart Erdogan and the former prime minister Ahmet Davutoglu to discuss bilateral relations.
