MAKHMOUR - Four Peshmerga were wounded by a car bomb in a village on the Makhmour battle front, following major Kurdish victories against Islamic State (ISIS) militants that had the jihadis out of nearly all Kurdish territories and on the run.

Sirwan Barzani, commander of the Peshmerga forces on the Mekhmour frontlines, told Rudaw that a car bomb targeted the Peshmerga forces in the most recent liberated village of Shora Panka, wounding four Kurdish soldiers.

Some 8,000 Peshmerga took part in a week-long battle that on Saturday culminated with the recapture of Shingal and its surrounding areas.
