MOSUL, Iraq - Seven ISIS militias were reportedly killed on Tuesday as they planted a bomb in a vehicle use against Peshmerga positions, a Kurdish official has told Rudaw.

“ISIS militants were strapping explosives on a vehicle in Baziawa village, aiming to use it against the Peshmerga forces, but the car exploded and killed at least seven ISIS fighters,” Saeed Mamozini, the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party branch 14 in Mosul, told Rudaw.

Mamozini added: “ISIS has been weakening in the past few weeks. They can no longer win on the battlefield, and are using suicide bombing more than ever."

Baziawa is a Turkmen-majority village west of the city of Mosul.
