ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Major rallies are simultaneously taking place on Saturday in the Kurdistan Region's cities of Erbil and Duhok and in Brussels, Belgium and Hamburg in Germany to support the Kurdistan Region’s upcoming independence referendum with a large number of the supporters of the historical move waving the Kurdistan flag and chanting in favor of a 'Yes' vote.

 

More than 20,000 people are participating in a carnival at the Duhok stadium.
 
  

"Just like the people of Zakho, Amedi and Akre, the people of Duhok are here to say 'Yes' for the independence of Kurdistan," said an organizer of the rally.
 
It is believed that the president of the Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani will address the supporters of independence in the city.

Similarly, a rally is taking place in the Belgium capital of Brussels and Germany's Hamburg city.
 
As the independence referendum nears, major rallies to support the independence referendum taken place and will continue to take place in and outside the Kurdistan Region.

To coincide with the Hamburg rally to support the Kurdistan Independence referendum, a Kurdish groom and bride held their wedding among the independence supporters.
