ERBIL, Kurdistan Region- Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani has said the influx of refugees into the Kurdistan has greatly altered the demographics of the region.
“We opened the door for the refugees despite the economic crises we have,” said Barzani during a conference in Erbil on Thursday to discuss the impact refugees on southern Kurdistan.
“In some places, the number of refugees has outnumbered the origin residents,” he added.
