The Peshmerga are broadening their control in the Kirkuk region, pushing the Islamic State back. They have driven ISIS militants 20 kilometres beyond Kirkuk and now have control of most of the roads in the region, impeding the movement of ISIS militants.

ISIS militants who are based in Mazhar Asi village can no longer threaten Kirkuk or the oil fields.
