Kurdish Yezidi who have joined the Peshmerga are receiving training in order to learn the discipline and tactics needed to fight Daesh (ISIS).

The Peshmerga training is not just to control Shingal and its outskirts, but also to protect the areas afterwards.

"We will overcome the enemy. We learned a lot here and we thank the trainers. Now, we have the will and fighting skills to liberate Shingal and any other Kurdish territory from the enemy," a Yezidi trainee told Rudaw.
