Erbil's Citadel, considered to be one of the longest continuously inhabited sites in the world, hosted a Flamenco-Jazz concert on Monday night.

The event featured music by Gautama del Campo and Spanish dancer Marta Balparda.

It was held in qalat's recently rennovated amphitheater in the heart of the Kurdistan Region's capital of Erbil.

It is believed Flamenco originates from southern Spain and includes a fusion of guitar, singing, dancing, handclapping and finger snapping.

The performance was held in coordination with the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union.

The former has an honorary consulate in Erbil, while the latter has a liaison office.
