The Kurdish Peshmerga repelled a major ISIS attack on the town of Teleskof on Tuesday.
Several suicide bombers spearheaded the attack.
"Some suicide bombers were left behind in Teleskof, a few minutes ago we killed all of them in all fronts," a Peshmerga soldier told Rudaw.
"All ISIS militants who managed to break into Teleskof were all gunned down either by the Peshmerga or coalition warplanes," he continued.
Some ISIS snipers hid inside the town and fired at the Peshmerga.
The Christian town is 15km north of Mosul.
"We are volunteers here, we are ready to go wherever fighting happens against ISIS terrorists and we sacrifice our bloods to protect the land of Kurdistan."

A US serviceman was killed in Tuesday’s fighting.
Peshmerga has been in control of Teleskof for two years. The ISIS militant briefly infiltrated the town today, but all were killed, Kurdish forces said.
