Keep the red flag flying! Erbil marks International Workers’ Day

Kurdistan’s labor movement celebrated International Workers’ Day in Erbil on Wednesday with the annual May Day parade.

The Erbil branch of the Kurdistan Workers' Syndicate, the Communist Party of Kurdistan, the Kurdistan Toilers' Party, and the Kurdistan Democratic Movement led contingents of marchers through the streets of the Kurdistan Region capital.

Red banners and flags were waved featuring calls for better workers’ rights.
