In an attempt to bring back cinemas to Kirkuk the House of Cinema, which was formed a few months ago, is starting to show movies once a month.
Khaiam, Salahadin, Atlas, Cindibad, Hamra, and Alamin were the movie theaters which attracted many moviegoers in Kirkuk in the 1950's to 1970's.
But there is no cinema in the city today.
