A passenger who entered the security area at Frankfurt Area before being checked prompted a bomb scare and evacuation of a departure hall on Wednesday, German media reported.

“Today at Frankfurt Airport a passenger entered the security area before the security check had been completed,” the airport said on twitter.

“Therefore, the German federal police cleared departure hall A as a preventative measure,” the tweet said. “Passengers will be rechecked prior to departure.”

According to Germany’s Bild newspaper airport speakers warned all visitors to leave the level 1 and 2 of the terminal “immediately.”

This bomb scare follows a series of terrorist attacks in Europe, from the Paris shootings and bombings in November of last year to the bombing of the airport in the Belgian capital Brussels last March. The Islamic State (ISIS) group claimed responsibility for those attacks.
