YAVORIV, Ukraine - Many Ukrainians fled the country on Saturday through the border city of Yavoriv to Poland and other neighboring countries as Russian offensive continues in many cities.

Many citizens are heading towards the border, with cars lining up in a long queue on the western border of Ukraine. People in the city are afraid and running away from the war declared by Russia on their country.

Tatyanna is crying because her husband and her son are voluntarily wearing Ukrainian military suits and heading to the frontlines. She chose to stay in Ukraine and send her two daughters to Poland.

“It's so tough for me to let go of everything in my hometown to protect my daughters. I left my parents, husband and my son. The city is chaotic and it's an insane war," she told Rudaw's Alla Shally.

Andriy wants to leave the country because of a decision made by the Ukrainian government. The decision is for the male citizens to take up arms. But he cannot leave Ukraine for now, because of the war.

“This was unexpected. I never thought about war. My only duty for now is to pray for the Ukrainian citizens," he said.

The war has disappointed the citizens and the world. Some Ukrainians, they want to find a way to escape the country, while others have taken up arms voluntarily to fight for their country.
