Rudaw Media Network marks its 10th year anniversary on May 29, 2023 as it continues to be the leading news network in the Kurdistan Region. Rudaw is one of the main sources of information on the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the Middle East.

Delivering accurate and fast-paced news in Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish, and English, the main objective of the network is retaining its audience’s trust in its coverage.

Rudaw has extended its presence beyond the Middle East, reporting from the frontlines of the war in Ukraine, and covering major events in Europe and the United States.

Over the past years, Rudaw has signed agreements with prominent news agencies and think tanks in Asia, the US, and Europe. It has also expanded its partnership with companies such as Meta and Google.

Rudaw is also moving towards increasing its coverage of climate change issues which are severely impacting the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

On the anniversary of the founding of Rudaw Media Network, we congratulate our colleagues and pay tribute to Shifa Gardi who was killed while covering the fight against the Islamic State in Mosul in 2017, and our reporter Farhad Hamo who was kidnapped by the militant group in Syria in 2014.

Below is the official statement from Rudaw Media Network on the occasion of its 10th anniversary.
