Three members of Kurdish family killed in car accident in Turkey

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Three people originally from the Kurdistan Region were killed in a car accident in central Turkey on Saturday, a relative told Rudaw. Two other people were injured.

The family, originally from Koya, resides in the United Kingdom and were on their way back to their home after a trip to the Kurdistan Region when the accident occurred in Aksaray province, a family member told Rudaw.

Five people were in the car, a couple, two children, and a cousin of the husband. The driver lost control of the steering wheel, causing the car to go off the highway, according to Turkish media.

The three who were killed have been identified as Hogr Abbas, 37, who was accompanied by Mohammed Othman, and Jennifer Bogdan, the Turkish state media Anadolu Agency (AA) reported. 

Two children were taken to a hospital in Aksaray.

Turkish police have launched an investigation into the incident.
