Anti-ISIS forces brace for street battle in Manbij

Members of the ant-ISIS Military Council have managed to enter Manbij through the southeastern entrance and after control of its silos and mills it means that the troops will begin to stage street fighting with ISIS.

The military council clarified that ISIS has dug a tunnel under the mills to move through and this is hampering the movements of the forces along with the planted mines in various areas of Manbej.

Military Council forces are liberating all parts of Manbij in the Aleppo countryside from ISIS as it has a strategic important location.

Shaheen Ahmed: "Yesterday at 10.30, we liberated the mills and the circle, our forces advanced but we stopped because they dug a tunnel and are leaving via Alajlanj gas Station and entering the mills and they implanted mines everywhere this is why its not easy to enter."

"We took control over the mills and started the street fighting with ISIS, the town is packed with mines and they are digging ditches and fighting from there."said Karnas Shamal.

Yasser Jalal said that explosives and mines may slow down the advance.

"Yesterday we took the silos and are entering Manbej with street fighting but there are many implanted mines in alleys but with Gods will we will enter Manbej and control it and our morale is very high. As for me and my brother, we have been fasting for 18 hours and are covering the contact line and guarding it day and night,” he said.
