ERBIL Kurdistan region – An explosion targeted a joint Russian-Turkish military convoy on the strategic M4 highway in Syrian northwestern province of Idilb, according to local Syrian media outlets.
The explosion happened on Tuesday morning near Ariha, south of Idlib.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed the incident, reporting that at least three Russian soldiers were wounded after an IED exploded near the convoy.
A purported video of the incident shows a huge explosion targeting the convoy on the M4 highway, which links Saraqib to the coastal city of Latakia.
Three Russian soldiers and one Turkish soldiers were injured in the blast, according to Russian media.
