Churches across the Kurdistan Region and in the rest of Iraq come to life on Christmas Day. Hundred attend Christmas mass in Erbil, Shaqlawa and Sulaimani cities.
In some places such as Bartella, 20km outside Mosul, this was the first Christmas in two years. At a Church in Baghdad, the event was held five years after a deadly attack on the church that killed 58 people.
