Rudaw, UNFPA open media training for participants in southern Iraq

Rudaw Media Network, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), launched registration on Thursday for the ninth media training cohort specifically tailored for women from Muthana, Karbala, Dhi Qar, and Wasit provinces. This initiative is part of a broader effort covering all cities within Iraq, including the Kurdistan Region.

Over a span of 12 months, Rudaw Media Network and UNFPA is training more than 300 women across Iraq. The program began with a focus on Erbil's residents in the first month, followed by those from Baghdad, then Nineveh and Sulaimani. Later it was held for Kirkuk, Anbar, Salahaddin, and Duhok. The last cohort was for Najaf, Babil, and Basra residents.

This training aims to bolster Rudaw Media Network's commitment to advancing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), established as a key global objective since 2015.
