Report: Iraqi Army takes out ISIS missile site in Anbar
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – The Iraqi Defense Ministry has announced the killing of 23 militants in an Iraqi army offensive near of Karama town in ISIS-held Anbar province.
A statement released Friday by the ministry said security forces destroyed a missile arsenal that was being used by ISIS to hit areas in Baghdad. Karama is 16 km northeast of Fallujah.
Central government forces also reportedly captured a house ISIS militants were using as strorage site for bomb-making equipment.
The Iraqi Defense Ministry has reported a total of 53 ISIS militants killed in the Karama area over the last few days.
